As we continue looking back at the most popular content on @U2 during 2010, here's a look at the five most viewed Question-of-the-Month articles. 5. @U2 QOM September 2010: Ideal fan club freebie! (2,106 page views) @U2 reader Lance Schart suggested this question, which asked fellow fans to share what the perfect U2 fan club freebie/gift would be. Replies included things like the ability to buy U2 show recordings shortly after the concerts are over, backstage passes and other choices for live CDs/DVDs. 4. @U2 QOM December 2009: A U2 Gift (2,326 page views) Following a similar theme to the fan club freebie question, this one asked U2 fans to tell what U2-related gift they'd most want to get for the holidays. Answers ranged from things like Bono's Super Bowl 36 jacket to various U2 collectibles to Bono himself! (Though the question was asked in December 2009, this is included here because the article wasn't published until January 2010.) 3. @U2 QOM May 2010: A Question for Bono (2,822 page views) Here's one that's not about what U2 fans want to own. Instead, this QOM asked fans to imagine they had the chance to interview Bono but could only ask him one question; we wanted to know what you'd ask. Fans told us that they want know if Bono writes his own speeches, how his hearing is after 30 years in U2, and -- in one very poignant moment -- if Bono would say a prayer for a fan suffering from multiple sclerosis. 2. @U2 QOM June 2010: Summer Break (2,823 page views) When Bono hurt his back in May and U2 postponed its North American tour, the band's summer schedule was suddenly wide open. So we asked U2 fans how the band should spend all that unexpected free time. Not surprisingly, working on new songs was a popular answer. Other fans were happy to see the band get some time to relax. 1. @U2 QOM August 2010: What if U2 broke up? (3,011 page views) In this reader-suggested question, we posed the U2 fan's doomsday scenario: What would you do if U2 called it quits? This one not only generated a lot of replies, but it also had the most interest among all our readers with more than 3,000 page views. Some fans shared very specific plans for how they'd deal with the end of U2's career, while others simply said they'd go into some kind of period of mourning. Wouldn't we all? Thanks to all our readers who suggested questions and answered questions this year for our monthly QOM feature. We're looking forward to more of the same in 2011!
