(Each month, @U2 puts a spotlight on U2 fans with our "Question of the Month." We pose a question to our readers and invite answers of 200 words or less. If you're interested in taking part, check our home page to see if the current question is still open. If not, check back shortly after the beginning of next month and we'll have another question ready to be answered!)
Autumn Johnson: The perfect birthday gift for Larry is to know that my little boy lives for drumming, and he's not even four yet! Michele Picuri: How about another skull earring, to replace the one he's worn since 1984?! *smiles* Diane: Best birthday for Larry -- more Harley Davidson rare items for his collection. Debbie Clark: What would the perfect birthday gift to Larry be? Well, since he probably has some back pain after all that time drumming in concert - all two and a half hours of it - I think it would have to be a good one hour back massage! Preferably one of those Swedish ones! Happy Birthday Larry! Sal Wright: For Larry’s birthday I think the perfect present would be a day with his family and close friends followed by an evening out with the Irish Rugby team, ending up with all of them going for a huge curry somewhere in the middle of Dublin, or possibly a week in the sun with me as his personal slave 24/7!!!!! Ana Dal Berto : A cat! He has to learn to love these beautiful animals! Maria Worsley: Larry's perfect gift.....My guess would be some alone time with his family! We share the same birthday! Maria Diorio: Happy Birthday, Mr. Mullens. All the best to you and many many more . For your birthday, I would like to present to you a giant birthday card signed by all of your u2.com members who love you very much (fan members) to show you the appreciation we have for you, and to thank you for U2 and being a very important part of our lives. Elsha Stockseth: I would probably give Larry a new Harley because he loves them so much. It is a great way for him to "get away from it all" and just go for a ride. I would also give him a new drum kit since the bird incident. Anyways Happy Birthday Larry, you are really sweet and thanks for shaking my hand when I was backstage. You’re awesome! Diane Evans: Given what I know about Larry's personality and likes/dislikes, perhaps the best birthday gift for him (and his family) would be to be able to move about in the world without being noticed. I would imagine that it's horrible not to be able to do what you want, when you want, and go wherever you want to go, without the fear of U2 fans or paparazzi recognizing you and harassing you in some way. Anyway, I guess this is wishful thinking, but that's my idea of the perfect birthday gift for our favourite drummer. Happy Birthday, Larry!
