Matt Catalano: From "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" When I was messed up and heard opera in my head When I first fell in love at age 19, I wrote some of the lyrics to "Ultraviolet (Light my Way)" in a love note. I was trying to express my inner most feelings to this person and "Ultraviolet" just called out to me. After that relationship ended, I think a line or two from "So Cruel" would have been adequate. They might not seem as romantic as some other U2 lyrics but to me they are. Sometimes it is just the simple things that mean the most. Curadhan Powell: From "All I Want Is You" All the promises we make All the promises we break Nothing sums up the success and tragedy of being in love as this immortal Rattle and Hum line. All our lives we make promises that we have every intention of keeping, but then life gets in the way and the promise simply ends up broken. But true love...the kind that is shared on a deep level...doesn't keep record of these broken promises made but rather simply just wants the person they love.
