"I think this record is just as innovative as Pop, it's just that the thing we're pushing to the forefront is the chemistry of the band playing together, and I think that is why people are referring back to earlier projects."

@U2 Originals: July 2012

@U2, August 02, 2012
By: Tassoula / @tassoula

Here at @U2, one of the things we're most proud of is the original content we provide, created exclusively by our staff. In case you missed any of it in July, the highlights are posted here:

Kelley Eskridge and Idaliisa Partanen kicked off the month by revealing the answers to the June Question of the Month, which asked fans "What is the very best time, place or situation to listen to a U2 song?

In our weekly Off the Record column, Matt McGee pulled PopMart Live From Mexico City off the shelf, while Sherry Lawrence dug deeper into the sentiment behind No Line On The Horizon, Tassoula Kokkoris contemplated how U2 could utilize Pinterest, and Aaron J. Sams thought of U2's relationship with their fans after seeing the new Katy Perry documentary. Becky Myers closed out the month, dreaming about lengthier live U2 shows.

Our popular "Like a Song" series continued with an essay about "Breathe" by Christopher Endrinal. Tim Neufeld wrote the "Like a Video" essay about "Walk On."

The "U2 Lists" piece for this month was authored by Sherry Lawrence, who proposed the Top 12 U2 Songs for Summer Travel.

Kelly Eddington also treated us to a new Achtoon Baby, where she questions U2's work ethic.
