Super Bowl Halftime Rehearsals Begin
Entertainment Tonight,
January 30, 2002
[The
following is the script from reporter Mark Steines, who is in New
Orleans covering the Super Bowl for Entertainment
Tonight.
The Tuesday edition of Entertainment Tonight included this 30-second
voice-over about Super Bowl rehearsals in New Orleans.]
ET has your first look at the big E*Trade Halftime Show -- to be performed on a heart-shaped stage. We watched as three-thousand cast members were wrangled into position during rehearsal, only to be sent running for cover when Mother Nature proved to be less than cooperative. Earlier, a 300-member crew practiced moving the 20 rolling stage pieces into place. The whole thing weighs 50,000 pounds, but the producers from Clear Channel Entertainment tell us it will take less than six minutes to setup. Script and images are © Entertainment Tonight, 2002.
