As we slowly discovered, Bono recently spent about ten days in Africa on a "listening and learning" trip with members of The ONE Campaign (including a few other celebrities). Adam Clayton was even spotted on the trip. Details were somewhat sparse and hard to find, but here's a recap of what we've been able to put together.
March 9
Bono was in Dakar, Senegal, on the first day of the trip. He visited the home of singer Baaba Maal who, along with other African artists, treated Bono and his group to a few songs.
March 10
Bono and friends visited Osu Presby Cluster School in Accra, Ghana, where they learned about the 1GOAL program that ties football playing to academics. Here's a photo from the ONE Campaign.
March 11
Still in Ghana, Bono met with members of a group called United Against Malaria.
March 12
Bono and company visited Tema Hospital in Ghana to learn about local efforts to prevent and fight HIV/AIDS. Here's a photo, also from The ONE Campaign.
March 15
Bono met with Armando Guebuza, the president of Mozambique, in Maputo. Bono's group had dinner at a local pub, where Bono joined a local singer named Xavier Machiana in singing 'With Or Without You.' The photo below (and the one up top) is used courtesy of Talumba Katawala.

March 16
While Bono had a series of meetings at his hotel in Mozambique, Adam went out shopping. U2 fan Miguel Alvim managed to get Bono's autograph (and helped with some of this recap).
March 17
The ONE Campaign group moved on to Kenya, the last stop on this visit. Bono and friends visited a youth group in Kibera.
March 18
Bono participated in the Pan African Media Conference in Nairobi, Kenya. He sat on a panel about the media's impact on Africa's image. Update: A reader points us to these photos of Adam and ONE.org reps visiting the Undugu Fair Trade Shop in Nairobi.
