McGuinness Talks New U2 Album

U2 manager Paul McGuinness spoke with Hot Press magazine shortly after U2's show in Turin on Friday, and reiterated comments that U2 may have a new album out before the end of the year: "I hope there will be another record pretty soon. If I was being wildly optimistic, I'd say before the end of the year." That echoes comments that McGuinness made in April to Rolling Stone, when he said an album by the end of 2010 was "increasingly likely." In speaking to Hot Press, McGuinness also pretty much threw a bucket of cold water on Bono's recent comments about U2 working on four separate album projects: "I heard him telling an Italian journalist that he had four albums ready.
