Edge talks to Neil McCormick
@U2,
January 04, 2010
With It Might Get Loud about to hit UK theatres, The Guardian has posted a Neil McCormick interview with Edge that talks about the film, and also covers some ground about U2's future plans. We already posted about Edge saying U2 may road test some new songs with or without a new album, but there's also this about a new album: "...we won't really know til the new year what we'll be able to achieve. There's a certain sort of practical window of opportunity to release the record that we are operating within. If the material isn't ready for the early new year we'll probably have to put it on hold." Keep in mind that Edge said this back on December 8th -- more than two weeks before the Bono/Paul McGuinness comments about an album possibly coming out in June. Of all the recent quotes we've posted about U2's plans, these comments from December 26 are still the most recent. |
