Bono accepts Ripple of Hope Award
@U2,
November 18, 2009
Bono and Wyclef Jean were honored tonight with the 2009 Ripple of Hope Award during a dinner gala at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The award is presented by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. The folks at (RED) said on Twitter that Bono gave "an amazing speech." Here's a photo from Twitpic of Ethel Kennedy presenting Bono's award. And, according to other attendees who were posting on Twitter during the event, Bono and Wyclef did a duet on Bob Marley's "Redemption Song." There was another mention of them covering "Dylan and Guantanamera" but we don't have any more details on that. We'll update this as we learn more.
