SORRY!
Try and try as we might, there's no way we're gonna find the
article you're looking for. We asked Bono to keep an eye on this article because
we knew you would want it at some point, but typical Bono -- he lost it. Yer
man can weave magic with his voice, but damned if he can keep track of lyrics
notebooks, his laptop, important web pages, etc.
Please try again using more general search terms and be sure to
read below for some help with using the @U2 News Database!
HOW TO SEARCH
You can imagine the difficulty of trying to fit 20+ years of U2
news into a short list of categories. But that's what we did when we built the
@U2 News Database. It's not a perfect system, but we think it beats having to
scan through hundreds of unrelated stories to find that one article you want
to read. With our categorical system, you can narrow your search down and should
be able to find the article you want much more quickly. These hints should help,
too:
HEADLINE SEARCH:
when you use this box, you will be searching for exact matches in the "Headline1"
and "Headline2" fields of our database. (Most articles only use Headline1, but
some stories have a sub-headline which is also searched in our database.) Whatever
you type into this box will be looked for in an exact match in
the database.
YEAR:
you can narrow your search down to a particular year by selecting from this
list. If you want to see ALL stories for a given year, use this list only and
your results will be presented in reverse chronological order (December, then
November, then October, etc.)
CATEGORY:
you can narrow your search down even further by selecting a category from this
list. Example: All reviews -- whether they be concert reviews, album reviews,
book reviews, whatever -- will be found in the REVIEWS category.
Some stories are difficult to classify (does a story about "The
Ground Beneath Her Feet" belong in SONG NEWS or in U2 AT THE MOVIES?) so be
patient and keep trying until find what you're looking for. If in doubt about
choosing a certain category, try the MISCELLANEOUS NEWS category -- that's where
we put stories that didn't easily fit anywhere else.
And lastly, a reminder that this database only contains what we
feel are the best and most important news stories over the years. We aim for
quality over quantity. We do post a lot more news stories to our [atu2]
mailing list, so if you haven't joined yet, what are you waiting for???
