3D Movie Release
January, 2008
In
January, 2008, U2 releases its second commercial film, U2
3D, a movie that lets fans experience a U2 concert
like never before. The 85-minute film was shot at a series of
Vertigo Tour concerts in 2006, and is the first live-action
concert film shot entirely in 3D. U2
3D features 15 songs drawn from over 700 hours of
footage. The film was directed by Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington
and produced by 3ality Digital.
@U2 threw two parties in late January to coincide with the
IMAX release of U2 3D: one in Boston, and one in Seattle.
In Boston, Miracle
Drug - The U2 Show joined us as we partied after the movie
at the Hard
Rock Cafe. In Seattle, we enjoyed a few games of pool, plus
drinks and conversation at Jillian's.
A good time was had by all at both parties, and we thank all
our readers who came out to enjoy the night with us.
