U2 wins big at the
44th Grammy Awards
February 27, 2002, in Los Angeles
After
"Beautiful Day" won three Grammy Awards in 2001, U2
was back for more in 2002 as the rest of All That You Can't
Leave Behind received eight nominations in seven categories.
After opening the show with a live performance of "Walk
On", U2 had taken home four more Grammys for a total of
14 in their 20+ years of making music -- the most Grammy Awards
ever won by one band.
