Collectors' F.A.Q.

Question

From Stephen, Kansas City

I have an RIAA award for The Joshua Tree. It is the multi-platinum award for 10 million copies sold. It was issued to Island Records. I know it is incredibily rare, but I wanted to know if anyone knew how rare or how much it is worth. It is in superb condition.

Francesco Rastelli: "Issued to Island" -- it means "Presented to Island"? Please be clear.

An award presented to the company has a different value from the ones presented to members of the band. Anyway, nothing from RIAA is incredibly rare if presented to the company. I'm not sure but not less than 100 copies may exist. If you have one presented to Bono there is only one and the value is different of course.

Peter Longworth: Stephen - The UK's largest dealers are selling U2 Platinum Awards for between $750 and $1000.
