U2 COLLECTORS' GUIDE

Collectors' F.A.Q.

Question

From: Michael M., Denmark

I have in my U2 collection, an issue of "Salome", white label in die cut sleeve. I don't know what it is.The B-side is not U2 - it's some rap music, with a lot of f*** words! The number scratched on the record says HH - 1. Is this something you have heard about?

Chris Nilsen: I have one in my collection. I would say it's something pressed for DJs but probably not official. I've been told the rap band is Junior Boys Own but I can't say for sure.

Peter Hanning: A friend of mine checked his copy and told me that it has a sticker on the front saying "U2 vs Junior Boys Own". I'm guessing the Salome track is the same one (Zooromancer Remix maybe?) that is available on the 2CD release which I think is called "JBO: A Perspective".

"This is no time for poetry, in the arch sense of that word. People are busy, the beginning of a new century, it's like: what's on your mind, what's in your heart, and what have you got in your soul that might make a difference in a day?'"

-- Bono, on writing songs for All That You Can't Leave Behind, 2000
