Collectors' F.A.Q.

Question

From: Cristina, Arlington

I have a program of the POP tour and it's signed by all members of the band. I need to get a Certificate of Authenticity for this, and I have no idea who or where or how to get one. Please, if you could point me to a website or a name of someone or someplace who could help me.

Phil Romans: Unfortunately there are no current ways to authenticate autographs after the fact. As far as I know the music industry has not jumped fully on to the band wagon of getting these types of items with COA (certificate of authenticity) like the sports collectibles.

As for getting it done now, unless you provide something like a picture of you getting it signed by each member of the band... it will be very hard to prove. Most fans I know that collect shy away from signed material because it is so hard to authenticate. (And my personal reason being I want to be there when they sign whatever it is I have....)

"Edge's creative pulse is so Zen you can hardly hear it. He makes less noise than me and there's less damage to the people and buildings around him."
