Hello, I recently bought a record (12", yellow sleeve) that has a U2 live recording (must be from the War period) on it and that seems to be a release by the BBC ("BBC Transcription Services - for the best radio programmes" is printed on the front). Do you have any information on this record?

Chris Nilsen: Sounds like the BBC transcription disc, which is an early War concert from December '82. If the label is printed in black on white, then you have one of the bootleg copies. Original copies have green printing on the labels.
