U2 CD Radio Shows

What I've attempted to do in this article is list all U2 exclusive Radio Shows which have been pressed onto CD. I'm sure that the list is not exhaustive so please feel free to e-mail me at pelo @ globalnet.co.uk if I've left anything out. First of all though..................

What is a Radio Show?

A radio show is usually a one or two hour programme which is produced by companies such as Westwood One or the Album Network, pressed onto CD, then distributed to their syndicated radio stations. They are accompanied by cue sheets which break the CD down into its individual segments. These show an incue, they list the content of each segment as well as detailing the advertising breaks and show an outcue. This helps the syndicated radio stations to insert their own local advertising if required.

The most sought after radio shows are usually those which feature live material such as the Sydney, Dublin and Sarajevo concerts. Other shows will either be composed of studio tracks, interviews or a combination of the two. Possibly the most valuable show is currently Zoo Radio Transmit which is hard to track down. It is unique in that it was produced by Island Records and B.P.Fallon and is an off-the-wall look at U2's "Outside Broadcast" US Tour.
